How do you fix a 50 Service fuser error on HP LaserJet Printers?
What is it?
The 50 Service error message is a Fuser" error, which is a time-out error where the fuser is not warming up fast enough. One of the most common error codes found on HP printers. It may come up as;
50.2 Bad Fuser
50.7 Bad Fuser
50.4 Bad Fuser
50.5 Wrong fuser
50.6 Bad Fuser
99% of the time its the fuser causing the error- Fusers are a consumable part and are sold individually or as part of a maintenance kit. Ou can expect to replace the fuser several times over the life of the printer.
1% power supply (9000 9040 M9050 8100)
If you moved the HP printer recently or if you installed a new fuser, you should check to see if tabs that secure the fuser in place have come loose. Tabs can get dislodged during shipping, heavy movement, or during fuser installation.
If you have NOT recently replaced the fuser or moved the printer around, then the 50.2 fuser error indicates you may have an actual fuser failure and the fuser needs replacing.
Simple Steps to Correct 50.2 Fuser Error on HP LaserJet Printers
Turn your printer off and unplug it.
Remove the fuser and reinstall. Press inwards on the fuser to make sure it is fully clicked in place. You should here a click on both sides of the fuser.
