How to replace the pickuproller for the HP M604 M605 M606 Laser Pinters
Step by step instructions for HP E6B67-67905 – Paper feed roller assembly – Part of tray 2-6 roller kit
Step 1: Remove the tray Pull the tray out, slightly lift up, and then pull it completely out of the printer to remove it.
Step 2: Remove the pickup, feed, and separation rollers for trays 2 through 6. CAUTION: When handling the rollers, avoid touching the roller surfaces. Skin oils and fingerprints on a roller surface can cause print-quality problems.
Locate and open the spring-loaded cover that is next to the roller in the tray.
2. Pinch the blue tab that is on the left side of the roller, and then slide the roller off of the shaft.
3. Inside the tray cavity, pinch the blue tab that is on the left side of the upper feed roller, and then slide the roller off of the shaft.
4. Inside the tray cavity, pinch the blue tab that is on the left side of the lower pick roller, and then slide the roller off of the shaft.
Installation Pro Tips for the HP M606, M605, M604 Pick Up Roller Replacement
Installing them is in reverse order how you took them out. Make sure the roller clicks firmly in place. Sometimes you might have to move them a little to get them to align with the post on the feed shaft or torque limiter.
Once you feel it click in place pull out on it slightly to make sure it’s locked in and secure. If they the rollers are not locked in place they will tend to work for a short period of time then start causing constant or intermittent jamming.
One of the worst callbacks to get is after you service the printer and it starts jamming shortly after you leave. Double check to make sure its is secure.
