10.00.11 Supply Problem Issue

The listed HP LaserJet models may encounter a "Supply Memory Error." This indicates that the printer is unable to communicate with the toner cartridge’s memory chip. This failure is typically caused by incompatible, unreadable, or corrupted data on the chip.

Common Error Messages on The Laser Printer

Users will see one of the following messages on the control panel:

  • 10.00.11

  • Event Code 10.00.11

  • Memory Error Indicated

  • Supply Error

  • Supply memory Error

  • The Indicated supplies are not communicating correctly with the printer.

10.00.11 Troubleshooting & Resolution

Step 1: Check the Toner Cartridge

The most common cause of this error is a faulty toner cartridge chip.

  1. Remove the current toner cartridge.

  2. Inspect the memory chip for damage or debris.

  3. Replace the cartridge with a new, known-good Original HP toner cartridge.


Step 2: Replace the Formatter Board

If the error persists after replacing the toner with a known-good cartridge, the issue is likely a hardware failure on the formatter board. The board must be replaced to restore normal operation.
