Turn the printer off, unplug it, and allow it to sit for 30 minutes before performing maintenance. Remove Tray 1 Cassette, toner cartridge, and developer unit before performing maintenance.

Disconnect any cables from the rear of the printer.

Lexmark MX710 MX711 MX810 MX811 MX812 MS810 MS811 MS812 Maintenance Kit Transfer Roller Removal and Replacement

1. Open the top and front covers.

2. Locate the transfer roller inside the printer, towards the rear.

3. Remove the new transfer roller from the packaging, but leave the paper wrapped around the transfer roller.

4. Pull up on the blue gear on the old transfer roller until it is released from its clip.

5. Lift the transfer roller and slide it to the right to remove it from the printer.

6. Install a new transfer roller (with the paper still wrapped around it) by placing the left side of its shaft into the gold bushing at the left side of the printer.

7. Push the blue gear down until the right side of the transfer roller snaps into place.

8. Pull the tab on the paper wrapped around the transfer roller and remove the paper.

CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the transfer roller. Contact with skin can cause print quality problems.

1. Locate the blue button on the left side of the cassette.

2. Press the blue button and lift and remove the separation roller assembly from the front of the cassette.

3. Place the new separation roller assembly in place at the front of the cassette.

4. Push down on the left side of the separation roller assembly until it snaps into place.

1. Stand the printer upon its rear panel so that you are looking into the tray cavity.

2. Locate the pickup roller assembly with the green clip towards the front of the printer.

3. Pinch the green clip and slide the pickup roller assembly to the right and remove it from the printer. If the green or blue duplex flap is in the way, pull the flap down to allow for more clearance.

4. Slide the new pickup roller onto the shaft. Pull the black plastic flag towards you and slide the pickup roller assembly to the left until it snaps into place.

5. Lower the printer back down to its normal operating position.

6. Repeat this procedure for any additionally installed trays.

1. Open and lift the rear panel. Allow the panel to hang loosely from the strap at the right side of the printer.

2. Push down on the two locking clips and lower the fuser access door.

3. Turn the blue thumbscrews counterclockwise then remove the fuser from the printer.

4. Slide the new fusing assembly into the printer and turn the blue thumbscrews clockwise.

5. Lift and lock the fuser access door.

6. Place the rear access panel back onto the hinge pins and close it.

Lexmark MX710 MX711 MX810 MX811 MX812 MS810 MS811 MS812 Resetting the Maintenance Count

1. Press the 2 and 6 buttons down and turn the power on. Keep these buttons held down for 10 seconds. This will open the Configuration Menu.

2. Touch/Select ‘RESET ROLLER KIT COUNTER’.

3. Again, touch/select ‘RESET ROLLER KIT COUNTER’

4. Touch/select ‘Exit Config Menu.

5. The printer will shut down and reboot. The maintenance count has been reset.
