Turn the printer off, unplug it, and allow it to sit for 30 minutes before performing these maintenance procedures.

Transfer Roller Removal and Replacement

1. Open rear door and locate the transfer roller on the transfer assembly.

2. Pinch the clips on the blue bushings at each end of the transfer roller.

3. Lift and remove the transfer roller from the transfer assembly.

4. Install the blue bushings onto the replacement transfer roller.

5. Install the replacement transfer roller, pressing down on the blue bushings to lock it in place.

CAUTION: Do not touch the surface of the transfer roller. Contact with skin can cause print quality problems.

Tray 2 Separation Roller Assembly & Pickup Roller Assembly Removal and Replacement

1. Remove the tray 2 cassette.

2. Open the rear door.

3. Lift the transfer assembly.

4. Grab the lower green tab on the left and lower the roller access cover.

5. Grab the separation roller assembly in the center, between the two arrows. Slide it to the left and remove it from the printer.

6. Pull down on the blue tab to unlock the pickup roller assembly.

7. Push the spring loaded blue lock post to the left until it locks in place.

8. Slide the pickup roller assembly to the left and remove it from the printer.

9. Install the replacement pickup roller assembly and slide it to the right. When doing this, the white plastic hook on top of the pickup roller assembly must fit into the metal hanger in the printer. If the roller appears to be hanging, remove the pickup roller assembly and reinstall it, ensuring the white plastic hook on top is propery seated.

10. Lift up on the tab on the spring loaded blue lock post to release it, securing the pickup roller assembly.

11. Lift the blue tab to further secure the pickup roller assembly.

12. Hook the white tab through the hole in the replacement separation roller assembly.

13. Slide the separation roller assembly to the right and onto the shaft, until it locks in place.

14. Close the rear door.

Fusing Assembly Removal and Replacement

1. Open the rear door and locate the fuser.

2. Grab the fuser handles, squeeze the blue triggers and pull the fuser from the rear of the printer.

3. Install replacement fuser.

4. Close the rear door.

The fuser contains circuitry that will reset the maintenance counter when powered on.
