HP LaserJet Enterprise M600 M601 M602 M603 Formatter Board CE988-67912

The formatter board of the HP LaserJet Enterprise M600 Printer Series is a customer

self replacement part. It is necessary to follow the procedures below in order to

replace and reinstall the formatter and recover the printer information. Please

follow the procedure as below:


Grab the formatter cover. Pull the cover straight back and away from the product.


Remove the thumb screws and remove the formatter cage.


Remove the hard drive support and the hard drive

cable.


Install the hard drive (with the support and cable) and the memory DIMM from

the discarded formatter board on the new formatter board.

  • Install the new formatter board.

  • Turn on the product and then wait for ten minutes once the product has reached

  • the Ready state. NOTE: ten minutes are required to allow for NVRAM settings to be written.

  • Turn the product off.

  • Turn the product on and print a configuration page to verify against original settings.
