What is EPEAT ?
EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) is a ranking system that helps purchasers in the public and private sectors evaluate, compare and select desktop computers, notebooks and monitors based on their environmental attributes. EPEAT evaluates products according to 51 specific criteria into three tiers of environmental performance – Bronze, Silver and Gold.
Do I have an EPEAT model printer?
If your printer is the M607dn, M608dn or M608x, you have an EPEAT model.
If your printer is the M607n, M608n, M609dh, M609dn or the M609x, you have a non-EPEAT model.
All these different models make for three variations of control panels.
Which type of control panel does my printer have?
* The 4.3" touch screen version, also called the Non-LCD version, has a part number of 5851-7252 and is found on the M608x, M609x & M609dh.
* The 2.7" display with 10 - button keypad, also called the LCD version, has a part number of RM2-1267 and is found on the M607n, M608n and M609dn.
* The 2.7" EPEAT display with 10 - button keypad, also called the EPEAT LCD version, has a part number of RM2-1259 and is found on the M607dn & M608dn.
Is my control panel LCD or Non-LCD?
If your control panel has a numerical keypad with buttons that you can press, your control panel is the LCD version.
If your control panel has no buttons and requires you to touch the screen like you would a mobile phone, your control panel is the Non-LCD version.
Can the EPEAT and Non-EPEAT control panels be used interchangeably?
