Correct installation of this formatter board is critical to correct operation of the printer !


Follow these steps to properly install your new formatter board:

1. Remove the memory DIMM from the discarded formatter and install it into the same slot on the replacement formatter.

2. Power up - leave the printer on 5 full minutes after"READY"; is displayed. You may be

required to set the time and date before printer displays "READY";.

3. Shut the printer off and leave it off for at least 5 seconds.

4. Power up - leave the printer on for a full 5 minutes after printer displays "READY".

5. Shut the printer off and leave it off for at least 5 seconds.

6. Power up and perform a cold reset.

7. Shut the printer off.

The printer is now ready for use.


NOTES:

Failure to follow these instructions can result in a printer configuration downgrade.

If the printer displays a 49.xxxx (or any other error message) during this process, continue with the process, it should clear up after completing this procedure.
